Spec snapshot
A fast engineering view of what matters for sourcing, quoting, and repeatable production.
| Item | Typical | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Mesh hole size | fine / medium / large | Hole size controls visibility, snag risk, and airflow |
| Load behavior | light laundry / heavy gear (by program) | Load drives seam finishing and handle/strap reinforcement map |
| Closure style | drawcord / zip / flap (by spec) | Closure changes sewing time and failure points |
| Edge finishing | binding / overlock / folded tape | Finishing controls fray and long-term durability |
| Typical MOQ | 500–2000 pcs | Depends on mesh type, trims, and printing/labels |
Mesh Spec Selector
Mesh products vary massively in hole size, stretch behavior, and edge durability. We select mesh specs based on snag risk, airflow needs, and the expected load profile.
| Mesh Type | Best For | Strength | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fine mesh | cosmetics, delicates, small items | medium | Lower snag risk; better for premium feel and tighter organization |
| Medium mesh | laundry bags, beach storage, daily organization | high | Balanced airflow and durability; the most common retail spec |
| Large mesh | sports gear, balls, quick-dry programs | high | Maximum airflow; requires stronger edge binding to prevent tearing at holes |
| Soft hand-feel nylon mesh | premium retail and travel organizers | medium | Softer touch; requires tighter QC on stretch and seam allowance |
Anti-Fray Finishing Options
Mesh edges are the most common failure point. We choose finishing based on the program’s price point, load behavior, and the desired tactile feel.

Instead of generic mesh bags, we build around real usage: snag risk, wash cycles, sand exposure, and repeated drawcord pulls.
Wash-Cycle QC Gates
Mesh bags are often washed. We define deformation tolerance, edge durability gates, and pull-point reinforcement checks so the product stays usable after repeated cycles.
- Define target wash method (machine wash / hand wash) and acceptable deformation range (by spec)
- Control mesh stretch and seam allowance to avoid distorted shapes after washing
- Validate drawcord channel durability and corner reinforcements under repeated pull
- Check edge finishing for fray and loose thread after wash and abrasion cycles (by spec)
- AQL final inspection focusing on edge alignment, handle anchors, and closure function
Materials & fabrics
Material choice drives performance, durability, finishing, and target price point.
| Fabric | Waterproof | Cost | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Polyester mesh | n/a | varies | Breathable and durable; multiple hole sizes available. |
| Nylon mesh | n/a | varies | Softer hand-feel for premium positioning. |
